It was the sweet spot of the Golden Age of the American Musical: the 1950s. Ushered in by hits such as Call Me Madam and Guys and Dolls, the decade featured great scores by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Loewe, and others and spotlighted tremendous talents such as Alfred Drake, Barbara Cook, and John Raitt. They liked Ike back then--and we celebrate the Eisenhower era on Broadway.
