Fred Sings George

Has there ever been a more fascinating rhythm than the feet of Fred Astaire? Perhaps his unique phrasing and way with a song. Astaire made his career singing the music of George Gershwin in the 1920s and, to celebrate the upcoming Encores! presentation of Lady, Be Good!, we’ll be looking a treasure trove of Gershwin classics from Funny Face, Shall We Dance, and Damsel in Distress. It’s nice work, and you can get it only on Broadway to Main Street.
