Kurt Weill in Berlin

Mackie's back in town--well, Weill is at any rate. On "Kurt Weill in Berlin," we celebrate the astonishing early career of one of the world's greatest theater composers.  Mordant melodies and biting ballads, courtesy of Louis Armstrong, David Bowie, Nina Simone, Raul Julia, Bea Arthur, and, of course, the inimitable Lotte Lenya.
