This 1953 show that borrowed from Borodin provided a lush and lyrical score nearly unmatched by any musical of its times. Balladeers such as Etta Jones, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Bill Evans and others join original cast members Alfred Drake, Doretta Morrow, and Richard Kiley in a sumptuous symphonic bazaar.
